A fragrant fable of fresh, aromatic, mineral character, taking the mind to rugged, wind-blown heights.

Unforeseen Aer brings a cool gust of freshness, in an unconventional take on a fougère perfume. A fable about imperfection told through scent, it creates an accord of Pure Air via Geranium, Lavandin and Rosemary, grounded by the textured warmth of Nutmeg. 

All of this is contained in a newly redesigned bottle with an embossed Aesop insignia, and a pleasingly textured cap inspired by basalt—a rock on which our hometown of Melbourne was quite literally built.

While no story should be judged by its cover, the Fragrant Fables arrive in pleasingly tactile bottles, with a new textured cap inspired by basalt rock native to our home city of Melbourne, and an embossed insignia on the amber glass.

Complimentary engraving and samples

Every online purchase of a 50ml and 100mL fragrance comes with a sample to try before you uncork the full bottle, while complimentary engraving is now available in select countries.

Many of our product packaging components are recyclable. We recommend disassembling (in this case removing the pump and cap) and sorting the components. The bottle may be recycled, while the pump and cap should be placed in the waste bin. Paper packaging is made from FSC® certified stock. Please remove this component and place in the recycling bin.

How to use

Apply as desired to wrists and neck. Throughout the day, the aromatic profile will develop—from bracing mineral freshness to earthy spice. Layer with complementary Aesop hand and body care formulations to enhance the aroma.
